Having multiples is tough.    This month, we will be looking at community. Many of us find that our sense and need of community changes after becoming a parent to multiples. Has it changed for you?  This week we will reflect on how our community and need to community has changed through out our journey.  -Has making and staying in touch with friends been tough?  -Do you feel the need to connect with a particular community?  -Have you found a community of people who have supported you?  The group is a safe space for multiple parents to talk openly. Each meeting there will be a topic to share on or share anything going on for you which you would like to talk about. It will run for 1 hour and there is plenty of parking on site and pram access into the building. Come and join us for our 0-2 catch up at the botanic gardens. We will meet at 10am at Pollen cafe for a drink and chat followed by a stroll around the gardens or lay out a rug on the lawns depending on how everyone feels. A great way to connect with other multiple families and get out of the house for an hour or two. New and expectant parents of multiples are invited to attend a free information session to learn more about life with multiple birth children. The New and Expectant Parents' Information Session is a service provided by CARMBA to the community thus membership is not required to attend the event. Topics for discussion include the unique features of pregnancy, birth and feeding multiples, as well as time to answer all your burning questions! If you have a particular topic or question you would like to make sure is covered, please email Ali- memberships@carmba.org.au  The information session will be held at the Sourthern Cross Club at Jamison. Please register for a free ticket to the event!

Join us anytime between 10-12 at the Botanic Gardens for a coffee catch up and play on the lawns! We will be the group with the double prams, near Pollen Cafe, then will likely head out for a stroll in the gardens.  Little One's is an informal catch up for parents with multiples to meet other families. You do not have to be a member of CARMBA to participate. Little One's is a great opportunity to get out in a supportive environment - there are plenty of hands to help out if you need them! Join us for a belated Mothers Day and Multiple Birth Awareness Week celebration in May - and hear about the year that was as we hold our AGM too! On Sunday 21 May we will be hosting a free morning tea picnic for our members at Kambah Adventure Park to acknowledge the mothers in our multiples community.   The picnic will also be our first opportunity to get together and celebrate Multiple Birth Awareness Week (MBAW), after we made the difficult decision to cancel our event at the National Arboretum. If you pre-ordered kites and/or ribbons for the MBAW event, these will be available at the picnic (unless you have already requested a refund).   Similar to last year, we will hold our AGM at the picnic, as we found this was a great opportunity to reflect on CARMBA’s year and inform our newer members of committee positions and volunteer roles that are available. Please note you do NOT have to attend the AGM if you are coming along to the picnic. We look forward to seeing you there!
